It's funny how good it feels to act my age. I haven't gotten home at 7 am from a night of drinking in a long time, and although I have a bit of a headache some things are undeniable...Here's a list:
1. I absolutely adore Aaron. I am so sad he is leaving. And he and I squandered the time we had together. Oh yes, we have excuses (i.e. schedules, my ascetic nature, etc.) but they are inadequate and I should have made an effort. Oh well, Portland is now declared a home away from home for you Aaron - as soon as I get there, so make sure you get there. And may a wonderful life await you in Chicago!
2. Drinking a gallon of water during the day makes no difference in the evening. If I am going to drink again I must be more diligent about drinking water because even my slight hangover is unnecessary and easily avoidable.
3. I'm finding my trip did wonders for my soul. This is something I can't put into words so I won't try, but lets just say I find a smile creaping across my face for no reason more often now and it feels good.
4. My dog does this funny dance of joy when I come home. It's the most welcoming spectacle I have ever experienced. It has I adore you written all over it, all I have to do is show up and I've brightened her life. If I could find a man who would do a sexy version of that when I came home I'd be all set.
