File + Chart = Fart
I was in a haze all day at work today. I think my Narcolepsy was acting up because I was just not in full control of myself due to the fog that was covering my brain, and the drowsiness....oh, so sleepy....szzzzzzz.....So I was talking to a client about her dog and it had gotten to the point that I needed to get the patient's file. So I go to do my normal drill "Could you please hold while I get the file?" Only today I was not there, some dopey retard in my body was there, so this is more how it went:
"Could you hold while I grab your fart?"
Here's the only explanation I can muster for this blunder. There are two much more appropriate things I could have said besides fart in the preceding sentence - I could have said file or chart. I stand firmly behind the theory that in my obfuscated state I combined the two words and fart is what I got. File + Chart = Fart.
I attempted to explain none of the above to the woman on the phone, I just corrected myself and put her on hold. Why? Because. Because is the answer.
