Ice castles
Last night I watch a true cinematic masterpiece from the 70's. It's called Ice Castles. I am embarrassed to say how many times I have probably seen this movie. They used to play it all the time when I was a kid. I think my mom really liked the movie, either that or I had dreams of becoming an ice skater. If the latter is true I have buried these dreams deep in my subconscious. It's a coping mechanism, what can I say - Some things are just too painful to face.
Anyways, this movie is a steaming pile of pooh. I can't believe I liked it. I find it sad that things lose their wonder when we get older. But even more sad is that my fellow movie watcher, let's call her...hmmm...I don't know Simpson...so simpson pegs this one actress as a lesbian, and precedes to heckle her every time she's on the screen. Loudly, I might add. I was truely shocked and offended. And so was Gary. Is nothing sacred anymore?
