Six things I would tell my sixteen year-old self: Stolen from fuckchop

Six things I would tell my sixteen year-old self:

1) Don't do the tanning beds or tan at all. Although you look pasty and white, you'll be thankful for a younger looking face at 30.

2) Don't waste your first kiss on Allen Ford; he's a jerk, but you'll learn early on what doucheclots guys can be.

3) Apply early to UF; and take your SAT's early, the testing commitee will loose your SAT's and SAT II's.

4) Wear less make-up; you're overdoing it on the eye shadow and liner.

5) Don't let an instructor talk you into changing from telecom/ news to telecom/ productions. You tested into Radio News 1 on the first try and you belong there in the long run. Teachers are just trying to weed out people who are there by default, but you'll end up needing the news writing backround more than productions, even though productions is eventually what will lead you greater realizations.

6) Learn that you are fine just the way you are; people will appreciate that you are different, no one really is awed by someone who just "fits in".
