Today I went to a funeral for a very good friend and co-worker of mine, Kristen. Kristen has been my good friend since my second day of work and I have been working at TACOM for 2 years now. I immediately knew I wanted to be her friend because she was so bubbly and friendly. She had a smile that was so bright that hardly ever left her face. She didn't let anything get her down. I never saw her sad. She was also the most giving person I've ever known. She never hesitated to lend someone her time, money, friendship, whatever. Before I got married, she threw a party for me at work with cake and gave me a gift basket that she put together herself. She also made me a blanket for my birthday. She was very crafty and always made such beautiful gifts. She was also the best baker in our office! Everyone loved the cookies and brownies she always brought in just because she wanted to do it. I am so blessed to have been good friends with Kristen and to know her family. Her mother works at TACOM also and she was her very best friend. It's going to be difficult not seeing Kristen's smiling face at work everyday and not having her to spend lunch break with whether we were just walking around, going out to eat, going shopping, or going to church if it was a religious holiday. I know that she is in heaven with God, and I am so happy for her. I just wanted everyone to know what a wonderful person she was during her time here on Earth and that she will be greatly missed.
