Yeah, I'm so sticking with my tri-corder until at *least* the second-gen of the iPhone.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who looks at the iPhone with suspicion. This thing will be great...but not first-gen.

The question isn't whether first-gen products are better than future generations, but whether they're better than what exist currently. First generation iPods were head and shoulders above any of the other MP3 players on the market at the time. Some would argue that the same is true of the iPhone.
