Ghosts by
azephirin (Kirk/Spock/Uhura, Pike/Number One, Sarek/Amanda, McCoy/OFC, Sarek/OFC, PG-13, 3165 words)
Summary: Five different Halloweens, five different years, five different places.
Notes: I love the deft touch of the narrative in these stories, and the depth given to every character including the original ones. The voices and dialog are beautiful, and the pieces create a lovely whole.
Orbital Resonance by
rubynye (Gaila/McCoy, NC-17)
Summary: "Well, we're friends. Friends through Jim."
Notes: Sometimes McCoy needs someone to take care of him, even if he would never admit it. Really nice look at who besides Jim could possibly do that. What I really love here is that they are friends because of Jim, but that doesn't mean they don't have a connection of their own.
The Orion-On-Vulcan Method by
anodyna (Gaila/Spock!Prime, M-ish)
Summary: Gaila needs somewhere to recuperate after being injured in the Battle of Vulcan. What better place than with Spock Prime on the Vulcan colony world? Hijinx, cultural misunderstandings, and unlikely romance ensue.
Notes: Okay I know the pairing is a tad unconventional but stay with me here because this is an absolutely wonderful story. Both Gaila and Spock Prime are so well done and you can absolutely believe the relationship that develops between the two of them. This story leaves me with hearts in my eyes.
