The Greater Good by emiliglia (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17, 29,020 words)
Summary: Doctor Leonard McCoy thinks he's getting by, working as both a surgeon and a researcher at UCSF Medical Center. A chance encounter with Lieutenant Jim Kirk - who's changed since they first met five years before, and not for the better - forces Leonard to face reality about his own situation while trying to keep Jim from heading down the same path.
Notes: This is a long, engrossing, sometimes painful story about two broken characters trying to fumble their way back to some sort of peace. I loved watching that fumbling lead them toward each other.
Fuck Yeah, Autocorrect! by winterover (Kirk/McCoy, light R, 1,637 words)
Summary: For the buckleup_meme prompt "It would be hilarious/awesome to see awkward autocorrected messages between Jim and Bones leading to miscommunications and culminating in the start of what will ultimately become an epic relationship."
Notes: Usually when I type "LOL" I'm not actually laughing out loud, but with this fic I totally was -- all the way through. The title pretty much says it all.

Summary: So what did happen after Pike dragged McCoy off to his hotel room?
Notes: This is a sequel to Truth and Consequences by zauzat, which you should read first. But while that is cracky fun, this fic is a bit more serious in tone. (And more graphically porny. *g*) It's Pike and McCoy's first time together, and they're both feeling a little nervous. The author has a glorious way with writing M/M sex -- it's hot as hell, but the emotions feel real.
