Kirk/Spock
With My Feet Toward the Stars (let me remember you as you were when you existed) by
rinsbane (Kirk/Spock, R, ~33,000 words)
Summary: At age five, Spock informs his mother that it is illogical to wish him “sweet dreams” at bedtime because Vulcans do not dream. “Oh, Spock,” she says.
Notes: Kirk/Spock is not a pairing I normally read, but in the hands of this author it's absolutely beautiful. I loved Spock's contemplative point of view and the dreamy, lyrical imagery.
Spock/McCoy
Reaching for the Sky Just to Surrender by
what_alchemy (Spock/McCoy, NC-17, ~11,000 words)
Summary: Turns out, Spock and McCoy share a demon or two.
Notes: This is a sensitive take on McCoy as an alcoholic. It was painful to read at times but thoroughly engrossing. The development of his relationship with Spock felt realistic to me, and I loved how Jim was such a good friend to him.

Foolish Pleasure by
severinne (mirror!Pike/mirror!McCoy, NC-17, 10,951 words)
Summary: Commander Christopher Pike knows when he’s being blackmailed; what he doesn’t understand is when the terms of the arrangement started to shift beneath his feet.
Notes: This is a sequel to
Bold Venture, an excellent fic -- and this one is just as hot and well characterized. You can just see Pike fighting his attraction to this mouthy, brilliant boy ... does he have a prayer of resisting? Read and see.
