Mayday Underground & new-old shop

Yesterday, got up early to go hawk my wares at the Mayday Underground show!

The day went basically as follows: sold some art (!), went out for some Mexican with the creature, came home, promptly collapsed into bed from eight pm until one in the afternoon today.

Being around people all day, while fun, is exhausting for me. I’m a hermit who lives in a hobbit hole with my computer & my boy-creature & my animals & my dolls. Also exhausting is trying to carry a heavy objects I'm not strong enough to carry & thus screwing up my back & my arms. I'm a sore bunny all over.

I sold art though! I sold a doll I finished the night before, so no pictures were taken. She will be in limbo forever I guess. I also sold a witch bottle to the adorable Goth Lolita selling her art two booths down. Lots of art cards went, a few drawings. All in all, fairly successful, for me anyway. I mean, not like I am making a living at this yet, but better than nothing.

The show was amazing. I wanted to buy stuff from about 75% of the other sellers. I gave myself a $20 budget though. Got some alpaca & wool fiber for spinning from one seller, tiny needlefelted mushrooms
from another
(<- this girl is one of the shows organizers) , & some buttons from a third. But I wanted tons of other things, art & soap & more art & greeting cards that said things like “eat my fuck ” & “i think of you when i masturbate” & pretty pendants & hand painted fabric wallets & crocheted cupcakes & so on & on…..

In other news, I have closed my Artfire shop & moved everything to a new BigCartel-powered shop on my website as well as reopening my Etsy store for what I can't fit on my site. I will be updating soon with some newer pieces I made for the show that didn't sell.

Now, I go back to iced tea & Star Trek (Original Series).
