I have to natter on about this series now that I've finished watching it.

Yeah, this probably contains spoilers... )

*INTP High five!* INTPs rule biotch! I ended up getting 100% introverted, 71% Intuition, 100% Thinking, and 29% Judging. Death Note was a pretty amazing show. It's been a damn long time since an anime has got me thinking that much, and really, thinking is my favorite hobby. >_>

I ended up being let down by the second half of the anime because Mello and Near just weren't L. They had to team up to beat Light when L needed only himself. I just can't down step like that. Once the bar has been set at a certain level, that level must be maintained or raised. (I thought Matt was adorable too for the whole 30 seconds of screen time he got. And my brain immediately slashed him and Mello together because Mello...he's just way too much of a homo in my head. xD) But like I said, I just don't understand fandom's obsession with Mello and if you identify that much, I can totally understand why he's YOUR favorite. L is my favorite for the same reason. I just identify way too much. I know what it's like to be completely isolated from everything because you're so dedicated to your work. Yet, you still have these desires and urgings that are competely normal and human, but you're so removed from the rest of humanity that you struggle really hard to come to terms with them, and they always seem fascinating because they're just such a unique experience. (Ryuuku kicks untold levels of ass. ESpeically in the end when he's sitting on the tower saying "I told you so~" He is the universe's biggest freaking troublemaker! x3)

I do have to say that I did like how much Mello grew up by his end in the anime. I just had no respect for him because he made stupid, rash decisions like the whole blanket thing. YOU NEVER TRUST A WOMAN WHO IS INVOLVED WITH YOUR ENEMY! DURR! It's just plain, simple tactics. D: He should have made her strip completely naked before giving her the blanket, but I know if he'd actually done that intelligent thing, there would have been major kinks in the storyline. He did look way better with the scar, although he made me think a lot of Zuko from Avatar with it. xD

But there are so many damn scenes in this show that make me just SQUEAL with glee! Like the money scene! When the crowd is bombarding the SPK's building and then Near just has them dump out all of L's money and everyone just totally abandons Kira...oh! I loved that! Money is the only god that people really care about anymore. Justice, peace...they mean absolutely nothing in the face of cold hard cash.
