When I first read this fic, I had no idea who had written it because the author wasn't revealed until end of the fest. In hindsight, it wasn't surprising to find out that alby_mangroves is as wonderfully talented with words as she is with her amazing artwork. In "Starting Something" I had been immediately captivated by the nuanced, vivid descriptions and the scorching tension. Arthur and Merlin are doing Sponsored Silence and despite the lack of the vocal dialogue between them, the tension and flirting is intensely hot. The brief part where Will comes in to talk to Merlin is hilarious and the tension at end is resolved in an equally hot and sweet way.
Summary: "One would think that a silent man is incapable of causing much trouble in a library. One would be wrong."
