Why this must be seen:
I am ever in awe of artists who can create visual magic with nothing more than paper and pencil, and magic_moni certainly fits in that category. Well, I suppose I should be accurate: she uses charcoal and pastels, too ;) "Saving Hand," done in charcoal and chalk on brown paper, is a gorgeous rendering of a moment from "Shootout," where a fiercely protective Hutch watches over an injured Starsky. Intense and emotionally charged, it showcases Moni's ability to capture, not just the likenesses, but also the personalities of these men-she draws Starsky and Hutch as we see them with our eyes and in our hearts.
Moni also occasionally posts 'unfinished stages' of her drawings, giving us some insight into her creative process. The one for "Saving Hand" doesn't have any commentary, but it's still very interesting to see the progression of an artWIP. But don't take my word for it-go take a look-see for yourself :)
