Why this must be read:
Because in canon all we really get about how Peter feels about his short double universe hop is given to us in a brief exchange between him and Walter at the end of 2x23 "Over There Part 2," which while good isn't much. In Season 3 the ordeal is skipped over in favour of the new plot arc with Alt!Olivia and we never get anything more there. This fic leads on from that end of S2 moment and gives us a look into the conflict Peter must still feel about how both Walter's have changed his life now, as well as his regret for what has been done to not only him but the other world and his mother.
