Hey, look at that, I'm fashionably late to the party again! Back on the road with Suits again, hope you guys have fun! I'll probably be swaying more towards the porny side of the spectrum this holiday season, so buckle up and settle in for the ride!

Ok, I admit it. As much as I love Harvey and Mike together, I really do like Mike and Rachel together as well (just not on the show, tbh). So, what wouldn't intrigue me about a fic that had both Harvey/Mike and Mike/Rachel? Yeah. Needless to say, I LOVED it. The fic is from Rachel's point of view, and her characterization is absolutely spot on (at least with my headcanon!). In fact, the two major confrontations between Harvey and Rachel seem like they could be straight from the show. Well, save for a few small details, but you'll have to read it and find out!
Overall, a good fic, and a great way to start off this month's recs!
She should have known.
She had known, that something was off, at least. She knew he was hiding something. She just never imagined it could be this.
“You’re what?” Rachel says, her voice somehow coming out calm, even though she feels anything but.
Mike’s staring down at his shoes, hands on his hips, and he licks his lips. He looks terrible, like he hasn’t slept in three days; pale, disheveled, dark rings under his eyes. As she watches, he clenches his jaw and looks up at her.
“I’m not a real lawyer.” He crosses his arms. “I didn’t go to Harvard Law. I didn’t go to law school at all.”
He’s speaking, and she understands the individual words, but it doesn’t make any sense, it couldn’t possibly be true.
“I don’t understand, what, how...” She trails off, not even sure which question to ask of the hundreds forming in her head.
“I should just tell you everything,” he says, and he looks nervous, but there’s a calmness in his eyes that she’s never seen there before.
“I think that would be a good idea, yeah,” she says.
