Why this must be read: I really wanted to rec “Humpback” with “A Brief Corruption,” by alinewrites , but I couldn’t stretch the rules of the comm to include it…after all, they aren’t by the same author, aren’t in the same series - hell, they aren’t about the same thing at all. But this story was written in response to Aline’s fic, and I think you’ll agree that it’s the perfect companion piece, setting the qualities of the first story into relief by contrast - dreamy, mystical and hopeful where “A Brief Corruption” is brutal, lusty and bitter. Also, this is one of the most unusual reincarnations for our boyz that I’ve ever read…
