I wonder - are there play-canon fics out there? Because, while most of the events are the same, the epilogue is quite different for Lockwood and Posner, and the meat of the play is quite different for Scripps.

The fics don't tend to announce which canon they're following, and most seem to blend the two. Most common seems to be keeping play-canon to enhance Scripps's character, plus film!Lockwood's demise and a mixture of play and film for Posner. And play!Irwin's wheelchair. It's a general mix-and-match to get the best dramatic possibilities out of both, which suits my preferences just fine.
