The first is a short story I'd like to submit to a SF market. It's due by the middle of next month.
The second is a novel to be determined when I'm finished with the short story. I have several ideas to choose from.
What do you need to do to get it finished? I need to not give in to insecurities and not feel that everyone will hate it when it's complete.
Any stumbling blocks? (please say whether or not you're happy for people to offer advice)
Stumbling blocks for me are insecurities. I don't mind advice for believing in myself and getting past self-imposed blocks.
Would you like to be poked repeatedly with a sharp stick until you finish? (If so, please specify how much poking you would like and how sharp you want the stick to be, and how you'd like your buddy to contact you.)
More than poking, I guess I just need someone to care whether I finish or not, which is asking a lot, I know.
Do you have any fortnightly goals?
I'd like to finish the short story by the end of this week. At the time I start the novel, I'll determine daily goals for it.
Would you like me to record these under a cut on the fortnightly check-in post for extra motivation? Please.

I guess I just need someone to care whether I finish or not, which is asking a lot, I know. I'll put up a post later for people to request and offer more in-depth support (although it's totally fine to do that on this post). For what it's worth, I care that you finish :)
