(no subject)
HELLO FROM ORLANDO, FLORIDA!!! I'M FINALLY HERE AT DISNEY WORLD! IT REALLY IS THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!
i got here yesterday and got my housing assignment! i'm living with 2 girls, stacey (my roommate) and carley. stacey is from northern indiana (and she's a hospitality management major!) and carley is from southern florida about 3 hours away from orlando. we did have another girl in our apartment but she was sent home b/c she had small gages in her ears and she did not fit the "disney look". this girl drove down with her friend from chicago with a friend. he was staying here for the program and she flew home this morning. i would be devastated if they sent me home on my first day.
our apartment is kinda plain. i hung up a princess calendar in the living room but other than that there's only white walls. our bathroom's the same way! it's sooo WHITE! white walls, white shower curtain, white sink, white everything! and then there's a fluorescent light that makes it seem even whiter! i share a room with stacey and we have our bathroom, and then carley has her own room and bathroom (until/if they give us another roommate, but that could take up to 3-4 weeks!)! i've decided that i should have brought more posters. i have 3 hanging up on my wall but there's still 2 walls that don't have anything on them! (i have my happy feet poster, the holiday, and my happy bunny poster, i also have my penguin calendar on the wall!) i'll put pictures up on facebook soon so everybody can see my apartment! i'm really excited!
we got our job assignments today! i was really excited to find out that i'm working at the wilderness lodge resort at the front desk! that's what i was hoping for! i have traditions tomorrow. traditions is a class about disney! it should be a lot of fun! then i actually go to my job site on thursday! i think i'm going to get a tour of the resort and get my uniform on thursday! YAY!
omg guess what?! so last night we met the girls that live in the apartment below us (they were going around knocking on everybody in our building's doors to meet ppl) and so me and my roommate had nothing else to do so we went around to the last few apartments in the building with them. and guess who we met! we met GOOFY! did you know he's brazillian? yep! he was really funny! i think that this is going to be awesome to be just walking down the street and the person walking next to you is your favorite character EVER and you don't even know it! i think that it's amazing!
