So a few days ago, a guy from Vermont, let's call him Derek, messaged me on aim...
"Hey man, when are you coming back? It's been way too long, we all want to see you again."
...Was about how the conversation went. I think that this was, in fact, the first time anyone from a place i'd lived in had contacted me out of the blue and said "We want you to come back. your presence was not painful to us. we would enjoy your company if you returned"
It just about moved me to tears, it did.
