What a year I've had.....great group of kids, just too damn many of 'em. 28 kids in my tiny classroom is just way too much. Anyway 25 days to go -- wOOt!
Thankfully I won't have to teach summer school this year. I'm going to be writing curriculum this summer. I'll only have to work 2 weeks, 8-1pm. The best part is that I get to hang around grown-ups. Yeah!!!
Looks like my best friend at work will be going to a different school next year. Lucky.....he gets to get out of the classroom and into another job.
We're putting our house on the market. We signed the papers with the realtors this past weekend, but it won't go on the market until next week, at the earliest. We're looking for a house with a bit more room, especially storage space and a yard. I love the look of our neighborhood (big old trees), but can't stand living in a townhouse any longer. Our neighbors SUCK!
Behind our house we have a garage that straddles our property and the neighbors. Each of us get a 1 car garage. The bottom is brick and the top 1/3 is wood. Well, I was sanding our garage so I could repaint it. When I finished sanding, I noticed that some of the dust had gotten in the neighbor's yard. They weren't home so I left a note on their door apologizing for the dust/mess. Later that evening they came home while I was outside and again I apologized. The fucknut had the nerve to say to me in this condescending tone "Well, you can clean it. It looks like our fence is locked, but it's really open so you can go clean it." I was stunned. It was 9:30 pm and dark. So what could I do but go get the outdoor vacuum and go vacuum their yard. I had to ..... get this: vacuum their mulch and the leaves of their plants. So basically I vacuumed UP their mulch since I couldn't very well separate the mulch from the sawdust. They are such assholes.
Anyway, Kev's in Dallas for the week. I hate being solo. I'll have to find something to occupy my time.
Bore, bore...snore, snore.
