Someone probably thinks i saw something or someone over there I should not have.  Having me committed would discredit me as a witness.  Please circulate this post.

This may sound a little paranoid, but do any of your LJ friends have a number they can contact you on? Just so that if you have problems posting then can reassure your friends that you're ok?

And if I could give a bit of advice? Start getting loud, call the press, your congressman/senator.

I second the advice to call the press. Call every reporter you can think of, then call the ones you find via Google. Also get a new lawyer, one who doesn't live nearby. And sue these people like the fist of an angry god.

As I posted on one of your other posts, I'm here from Copperbadge's radio free monday post.

I live in the Baltimore area, but I know an attorney in New Orleans who I think is fairly well connected. He lived in the Memphis area during the Hurricane Katrina fiasco. I don't know how many people he knows in MS, but I wanted to let you know that I emailed him and asked if he knows anyone who might be able to help you. Hopefully some good might come out of this.

I wish I could do more to help and I hope you're able to get away from them before they decide you're definitely more of a threat than they already seem to think you are.

I was directed over here by a friend. I am a fellow Mississippi pagan and at one point lived in Starkville. There is a large group in nearby Columbus, called Grove of the Sacred Unicorn, and it's run through the storefront Southern Enchantments. Lady Hawk and Ol' Bear may know someone who may be sympathetic to your plight and able to help. It's a stretch, but unfortunately, it's all I have.

If they do go ahead with trying to discredit you in this way, do you have anybody who can act as a character witness? Teachers are (rightly or wrongly!) generally seen as respectable members of society, so does your husband have any colleagues/former colleagues who know you?
