I have officially been to Silverwood. Awesome place. Themepark, with standard rides and attractions. In the summer there is also a waterpark (it's not quite summer yet). There is a train there that was used in California in the mines. It was restored, and then something happened to it I forget, but then in 199_ they outbid Disneyland to use it as an attraction and it was restored again. You go under the freeway in a tunnel.... and you get to a campsite area. 60% of visitors are from Spokane, Wa, and the other 40% are from throughout the country, including Idaho. (The themepark is IN Idaho.)
I GOT MAHLON ON A ROLLER COASTER!!! Actually, it wasn't me. And there were three, two of which he went on more than once. It was awesome. Unfortunately, the entire two days we were there, it absolutely poured. It rained all night too. And of course, I'm dumb enough to go on the water rides in the rain. Well, the water rides that aren't in the water park. (There's a log ride, where you don't get too wet, and there's another ride like a giant tube that seats 6 people, and you float and spin and get drenched. The first day I was wearing a white T-shirt with a black bra. Oops. The second day I was wearing my sweatpants because my jeans didn't dry overnight (it was wet and cold all night) and the water totally weighted them down. I left a trail. It was terrible.
Mahlon and I stayed with a family there (they got us into the park free, both days) and they had the two most adorable kids. Xander, 3, and Tabby, almost-1. So cute!!! But I can wait before I have some of my own. The parents were attending to something (I think dinner and chasing Xander down) so I got Tabby's bottle ready and then Mahlon held her while she ate. Oh the teasing didn't stop on that one for a while. Heh, the mom thought that we were siblings at first, and asked her husband if we were, "'cause that would be, like, incest." It was hysterical. Well, I've rambled on for a while now, so I should probably end this and go feed my dogs. Adios!
