King of Minneapolis pt II - True 'Til College
[Bomb the Music Industry!]
And I can't stop thinking about
The first songs I ever wrote
Where I swore off alcohol
'cause I knew better.
And I can't stop feeling like
That "straight edge" shit became a cult
But I'm kidding myself by believing
That the bar scene is any better.
When I was walking to VCT 103 lab earlier, this song came on my iPod and I couldn't help but sort of laugh at those lyrics. It's not like I drink every weekend and I don't run around asking people to get smashed with me or anything like that, but as you get older, your prospectives change (or mine did) and you become more passive to things of that nature. I just thought those lyrics were somewhat appropriate.
And hey, I think VCT lab will be the class that keeps me alive this semester. I'm so excited! We're going to be doing things like photo manipulation, movies, advertising, creating logos, and what have you. I can't wait :]
Nothing too exciting happened yesterday. I went to Wal*Mart with Sarah and Scott which was basically the highlight of my day. I love those two :] we had a good time.
Sarah: Guys don't like me
Lauren: Yeah they do!! Guys think you're hot stuff, Sarah. Just ask Scott. He's a professional.
Scott: Yeah I am! ... a professional what?
Lauren: Guy! :] (Yes, I vocalized an emoticon in my language! ...)
Haha, Scott was entertained by that a little bit. Maybe you just had to be there. Okay, ignore me.
Side note: I swear to god I thought I just heard Kat talking to someone in the hall and I half expected the door to open and her to walk in and hang her bag from her bunk.
