Everything runs its course and comes to an end at some point.

Since a lot of people aren't posting anymore, maybe a change would be good.

Just throwing this out there, but what about taking a hiatus from the mid-west town and doing a sci-fi space adventure, something in a fantasy setting, or something else.

Cougar Ridge... The End? (Character Spoilers) cr_cole_jackson February 9 2006, 00:06:40 UTC
I think the game may have reached it's logical conclusion. The big crashing finale, with the dual gunfights, and in the end, all the right people came out alright ( ... )

I will agree with Kenn. Things seem to be wrapped up nicely, and I am hesitent to post, because it's hard to say if the people I need to post with will. I also enjoyed this greatly, and I would love to play another round of it, be it another version of Cougar Ridge, or another thing altogether like Julie said.

That being said, if we are going to continue with it, Josh will be part of the cast.

Andrew and the Pastor? Hard to say. Andrew was losing steam, and I never got into the groove with the good Pastor. But I did greatly enjoy Josh, and will be using him again in the near future.

And Kenn, I don't know why I'm surprised you're Cole. I think it's kinda strange that another Altmarvel writer seemed to gravitate towards me. Might've been subconcious, mayhaps.

Anyone interested in keeping tabs on me, not that I know why, this is Bob Lot and you can catch me at themadhooker@gmail.com

Thanks for a wonderful game, Meri.

LOL Bob, that's awesome. You did a great job with Josh (so much so that I originally addressed this post to Josh instead of Bob) andI had a genuine feeling of friendship towards him. Had Cougar Ridge continued full steam, I was going to have our characters get together to have beers and have our kids play with each other LOL

Nice to see another Alt. Marvel guy. I had no idea that you were ANY of these characters. There was a time where I thought Joel might have been Andrew. I know he's someone here, but I honestly don't know.

See ya around the boards...

Are we unveiling? cr_julie_smith February 9 2006, 03:15:44 UTC
Okay. I still like Julie and if we did a Cougar Ridge season 2 she'll be there, but a little break to recharge my batteries and decide on a new direction would be nice too.

If anyone wants to talk to me... about plans for Julie, starting a new story/game in a different setting, or anything else - I'm Kim J. (from Omniverse). Hi :)

If everyone's happy to end it there, that sounds fair enough to me. I'll definitely consider a Cougar Ridge 2 or a new-style game in the summer, and I'm glad everyone enjoyed this one even if there were a few blind alleys or teething troubles.

Kenn! I knew you were Ruth and suspected you were Jason, but Cole was a complete surprise. Not because of writing style but because I was convinced it was someone else. You beat me. Kudos.

Bob, you lying hound! I knew you were Andrew Martin. Apologies again about nixing Jo-Jo. Barty was awesome ( ... )

Okay, chalk that one up as another one which comes as a complete surprise. I had no idea you were playing that early on!

The Dale V Thwaidey thing was a bit of a bluff, I admit. :)

Hi, I forgot to mention I was Henry Bower, the homeless guy with the dog. I thought I'd use him to move around more freely than Julie, but he never seemed to really gel.

So you were Vinnie and Suki, man... those are some pretty deep levels of sick and twisted. I was sure Suki would've been Curt.

Heh. Okay, spill. Did you name him Henry Bower (as in the character from IT) specifically to needle me? Grr.

As for Vince and Suki, well... half the time they wrote themselves, without much input from me. Which is probably the scariest thing.

Keep an eye on Labyrinth when it debuts at Diabolique. It starts off slowly, but as it progresses Suki will pale by comparison.
