Just a quick run-down on the fab weekend I've had:
On Friday night, we went to this no-frills veggie Indian place (where you can bring your own booze since they're not serving any due to religious reasons). Enjoyed a lovely meal there and spent the rest of the night sucking ice cubes in the garden till late as it was so hot.
Hooked up with Michelle, Chur and Miss Swiss (_erase_rewind) to celebrate Michelle's birthday at the South London Pacific Bar on Saturday. What a great place - perfect for my slightly weird gusto for themed bars as I'm completely into its tackiness à la Elvis's Blue Hawaii. Despite continuous heat flushes due to no air con, had a good laugh and flopped frantically around the dance-floor to the likes of the B-52s and, of course, the King.
Spent yesterday lazying about the house and garden, interrupted by the usual stroll to the new Italian ice cream take away counter of the pizza place down the road - yummy, but unfortunately too close to my place to do my waistline any good...alas
Returned to work today and was pleased to see the portable air con units installed they've been promising us for quite a while. It was great not having to sit in my own juice for the first time in a week and to be able to think straight throughout the afternoon. Jippie!
