First of all, I have not done any extensive research on various forms of creationism, I know the basic premise to a few of them but my idea mainly addresses young earth creationism but is also applicable to some other interpretations. All ideas here are simply my opinion and you are free to comment and correct me. If your input has merit, I will try my best to incorporate it into my own ideas. I am not here to try and change anyone’s beliefs, just to see if my own beliefs have merit. I’ll refer to it as Evolutionary Creationism (EC) as the significance is that it allows for creationism and evolution to exist in parallel. The objective is not to prove either theory to the other side; I believe this merely allows the 2 sides to respectfully coexist. This theory should apply to the religions that utilize the book of genesis as a point of reference for the beginning of all.

In Genesis, god creates Adam. He creates Adam as an adult male. That is to say, god did not make Adam as a zygote a fetus or a baby. He made Adam as an adult male. So if a modern scientist of any kind were to examine Adam immediately after creation, they would conclude that Adam was an adult male who has been alive for x number of years. This implies that god is capable of creating objects that have age which should be well within the abilities of someone who is supposed to be omnipotent. So assuming god can create an aged man, he should be able to create an aged universe, something that through scientific analysis would appear much older.

This would allow the literal interpretation of genesis to hold as it allows for the age of the universe to be less thank 10 thousand years old.

It would also allow for evolution to exist assuming that god could’ve created a universe to appear to have existed for several billions of years. It also allows for evidence that modern species are evolved forms.

I do not believe there can ever be scientific proof that god does or does not exist. Nothing in scripture that I know of argues against ongoing evolution, so this theory also allows for species to evolve after the point of creation.

God did not simply plant the evidence of evolution, but he creates objects that are aged.

Once again, I welcome your comments; I do not claim to be an authority on this topic, merely a new point of view as far as I know. I’m just an inquisitive college student waiting for the semester to start. Also, bored and watching king of the hill.
