Also, the volokh conspiracy is a blog from about 12 different law PROFESSORS, not students.
The collaboration is good because it gets fresh perspectives on different areas of the law. If you're asking why I did it, it was because one of our posters had his own blog the year before and wasn't going to continue in that fashion, but wanted to have something where he could lighten his load somewhat. it worked out. for a while, anyway.
But most blogging (in fact, most WRITING) involves taking the ideas of others and adding to them. Which is exactly what I did here.
