My trip to Maryland

Good morning, friends.

Am back from my trip to MD, thought I'd give a quick update. The three performances of "Chicago" were terrific, the audience really got into the shows on Saturday and Sunday, and I had the chance to meet both friends and parents of the performers (and we ended up setting together through all the shows). The actors and director and all those working on the show were so incredibly warm and friendly and welcoming, I came in as a tagalong but felt at the end like I was part of the group, and that was a wonderful feeling. The Requiem mass on Sunday was simply beautiful, and I was allowed to sit in on a rehersals for Act I of "Urinetown", the students did very well and I think that if they are solid on their lines and listen to those giving direction, the production will be a hit. Travel to and from MD was uneventful, and I even arrived home in record time yesterday (I left very early in the morning, not by initial design but it ended up that way, and the traffic was incredibly light so I avoided the major backlog and construction issues). As for Bill, he was wonderful in all the shows, as I knew he would be, and I was so amazingly proud of him (of course, I always am). It was nice that we were able to do a little early birthday celebrating as well. Of course there are always issues that happen between us, one minute he treats me like a queen, the next like a nobody, he still doesn't know what he wants and so we just have to continue on as we are now. The next trip? Well, that's up to Bill, but I'm hoping that maybe April or May for a concert or another musical event.

Today, Wednesday, I'm at home, I had planned on being on the road today but since I arrived back early, I thought it would make sense to stay at the apartment, do laundry (that's happening now), clean (done), get some groceries, a quick call to my Dr. (experiencing a little dizziness and that lump on my neck is starting to return so I want to get her thoughts although whether I actually go in and see her is yet to be determined by me) and then go into the office "unofficially" to say Hi to everyone. I've been reading and answering email and voice mail since I arrived back, and although I don't expect to make much headway, I am hoping to go through at least 1/4 of it (we'll have to see on that one).

Plans for the coming weekend? I hope so, more to come on that one.

That's about it. I wish you each joy and love, happiness and health, and peace. Be well and safe. Take care.
