Saturday
Hi friends,
Saturday afternoon and I thought I'd do a quick update for you. Family are well. Shannan is in Florida right now, her boyfriend Dave just moved down there and she was helping him with the move (he's finishing up his MBA), she'll be flying back to Fredonia this weekend. Mom, Karen, Joe and I were supposed to go to the auction yesterday (Friday night) but we had a terrible thunderstorm around 4:00 PM, HUGE lightening, so I called and told them not to come because I know Karen hates lightening. Kathy has been a little bit under the weather, hopefully she'll feel better soon.
Work is work is work, still busy, I have severall colleagues on leave and I've been asked to pick up their work loads, which means I'm pretty much twelve feet under water right now, but I'll keep it all together until they come back (I hope). Lots of interviews, lots of recruitment, several meetings and...our students offically moved back yesterday. I drove around town this afternoon and ITS CRAZY out there. One of them almost caused a car accident (yes, I was there). You'd think they'd never seen a deer in a field before. :)
As for me, my finger is still sore but not as bad. Sleep still evades me and my neck and back are aching a bit (probably laying wrong on my bed). Picked up Shannan's birthday ring at the jewelry store today (I took one of my antique sapphire rings and had it resized for her), I hppe she'll like it. I think that the girls are looking to do something for my day coming up in less than a month, but I'm not up for it, I don't feel like I have anything to celebrate, just how I feel these days.
That's about it, Mass and laundry on Sunday, then getting geared up for a tough work week. Been thinking about everyone, hoping that all are well and safe. I wish you each joy and love, happiness and health and peace. Take care.
