Rainy sunday
Hi all,
Sunday morning, thought I’d do a quick update before the day runs away with me. Took Friday afternoon off from work to spend time with the family, it ended up with Mom, Karen, Joe, Shawn, Shannan, Amy, Joe, Jackie, Paul and myself at Tioga Downs for the horse races, we each won at least one race (I won three in the row, surprisingly), and we had a blast, Friday is $1 night ($1 hotdogs, programs, and soda), the first time for Jackie and Paul and they had a great time.
Yesterday (Saturday) I took my car in to have the oil changed and a possible muffler replacement (turns out it wasn’t the muffler but the engine but it was a quick and inexpensive fix), then groceries, then to see “Harry Potter” with Bob and Phil (even though I knew what would happen , I still cried, once when George died and again when Dumbledoor said to Harry “Don’t pity the dead. Pity those who live without love”). Glad to see Bob and Phil. Bill was in NY last weekend, he visited with our friends, but he did not come to see me, I'm still sad about that but I understand.
Today (Sunday) has been very early Mass, followed by laundry (which is what I’m doing now), followed by my only day at GrassRoots, I’m going to see the Songwriters Circle and then hopefully a few others bands before heading home early to get some things done at the apartment in preparation for tomorrow (Monday), I have a full day of meetings and interviews so it should be interesting.
Waiting for the heat to subside, I believe it will for the next two days but then by the coming weekend its supposed to be in the 90’s once again. I’m SOOO not a hot weather girl (I like the mid 60’s and 70’s). Finger is still hurting but typing is becoming a little easier, my boss is asking me when I’ll be taking some vacation time (because I cancelled all the time I’d planned to take over the past 2 weeks), you know me, I don’t like to take time unless I’ve something to do or someone to see, not sure when that’ll happen but I guess we’ll continuing playing things by ear for a while. Mild headache today, weather related I’m sure. Hoping for a non-eventful week at work.
