Allie's Mom's Block - Seam 46, 47, Embellishment 19
I did a little more work on the moms project. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I'm using a fine Nikon D50, but the lighting is terrible and I can't seem to remember on a sunny day to take it outside.
First, I added beading to seam 46.
Next, I added some stitching and beads to the lace in the corner. I still want to add something else, not sure what, and I'm not really happy with the stitching, but I keep reminding myself it's the overall look of things, and it fits.
I also added to the stems that were on top of the silkie. You might have noticed them last time, or not, but now it's this spiderweb:
I had envisioned dropping the spider down near the yellow silk ribbon twist, but there's not as much space as I remembered, and I think it might be a little odd, now that I look at it.
There's only a little more to do on this one, so I have to find the other silkies I printed out, and then make more blocks. In the meantime, I have another cq block to stitch, but I can't show it until after Feb. 1.
