Of doctors and pokey tests...
I have a head cold today. It started around 2 o'clock this morning. I was already up, my shift started at one. I just went to see the doc to get me some meds. They took all of the readings that prove I'm still alive including a mild version of the pokey test. Fortunately I don't have the sinus pressure so there was no pokey pain. Yay. In the end I got my decongestant and am just waiting for it to kick in. One question remains. Now I appreciate the docs and medics, but why do they always remind you that a cold is a virus and has to run its course. They know how old I am, the chances of this being my first cold, infinitesimal. I had my meds so I smiled and thanked the doc, and went one my way.
