Wow. Poor Mal. I've talked to other writers who've thought that Mal could have had his own family there on the ranch. I loved the pictures changing on the page. I keep forgetting about that. Lovely job. Why do you suppose they weren't already married??

Loved that line. I'm readng Lonesome Dove right now and it's amazing the similarities between Woodrow and Mal.

I thought about having them married, but it just didn't feel right. Having him lose more than land and his mother made sense too. He's got so much anger and pain to live through. Poor miserable guy.

Glad you liked it. Never read Lonesome Dove, might have to give it a look.
