hey there! :) last time I did no fish, and I'm going to try that again. I personally don't really see the distinction between meat and fish...unless maybe if your reason for being vegetarian is for health benefits. I mean, fish are animals too, and environmentally speaking we're overfishing like crazy.
the deal I made with myself, though, is twofold: (1) it is *NOT* the end of the world if I screw up, (2) come Easter, I *WILL* start eating meat I want to eat again.
I'm anal enough that (1) probably won't be an issue, but I don't want to discover someone snuck chicken broth into the rice and have a tantrum, for instance. I'm also anal enough that without (2), I might go on being vegetarian indefinitely, and I don't think I want to permanently live denying myself chicken and other deliciousness at the price of always inconveniencing myself and others who prepare food. I think I like the idea of always being vegetarian for lent, it's a good balance for me. Cultivates awareness without negatively impacting what I enjoy in the big picture.
