Semele

I went to the NYC Opera today and saw the first-ever New York production of Handel's Semele.  Fantastic.  They did it in 60s period, with allegorical connections to JFK/Jackie O/Marilyn Monroe... complete with dancing secret service agents.

I enjoyed it, despite the fact that it cut drastically into my study time for my French test that's monday.  I also have to kill Plato's Republic before Thursday (hard)...

Augh. this week's going to be hell.  I have the kids' show a week from today, the script isn't memorized, we have no props or costumes, and, well, I also have Doc's show to deal with.

Anyways...  We went past Giants Stadium today as well, which was a moment of fulfillment for me, because being a Jets fan most of my life, finally going to the Meadowlands... and driving past the stadium.

Damn, I need to go to a game there someday.   At least I'm now in the vicinity!
