Did you miss me? No? Well, that's okay.
A lot has happened since I last came on, most of it boring. School stuff, mostly. I now have 2 hour rehearsals on Wednesdays to prepare for our tour of Vienna and Prague, so that's hard work but veeeeeery exciting.
The other day we had a discussion in class where we asked questions but were only allowed to answer with questions. It was fairly amusing. We are also now watching a movie in class. This 16 year old boy who lives with his sister and her husband refuses to get up to walk his girlfriend to the car after she was...um...playing with her foot and him under the table, and then he refuses to get up to help put away the dishes and I started laughing because I was the first one to get WHY. Ehren firgured it out pretty much at the same time as I did, and Christina immediately after that. It was a good 15 seconds before the actual GUYS in our class figured it out, which made the whole thing better. Jordan than turned to me and said "Mary, I hope you're proud that you were the first person to get that" and I told him I was. And that's about as exciting as it gets on my side of things.
WAIT A SECOND!!! PROM!!! I have to talk about prom, the sweet salvation amid all this monotony!!! Prom happened this last weekend - it was VERY fun. We had a banquet, all the speeches were wonderful, Ehren and I sang For Good from Wicked the musical, and then there was a sweet dance. Kaiti posted pictures, I'm pretty sure. I should go look at those.....Anyways, Sunday was Nolan and my one year anniversary, so prom was a nice way to celebrate that. I didn't go to the after-grad party post-prom, though, since SCC (the children's choir) had a four and a half our recording session on Sunday and also I had my voice recital (I sang The Girl in 14G by Kristin Chenoweth, which is pretty vocally demanding) so I really needed to get some rest so I'd have a voice. My voice teacher was pretty impressed when she found out I had had prom the night before. Anyways, apparently the after-grad was pretty fun, as there was a hypnotist that was pretty hilarious.
There is now a commercial about sleep on right now, so that's probably some kind of sign that I should really go to bed...
Edit: Kaiti did post pictures!! Here is a
link to her lj post with the pics. The terrifying looking guy she says will eat your soul (and probably will, I'm not gonna lie) is my friend Josh. I've only really gotten to know him this last semester because we share our spares and he is HILARIOUS. He is delightfully morbid in his sense of humour - he introduced me to the web comic Looking for Group, which I now adore, and pretty much he is Richard. If you've read it, you know who I mean. Anyways, check out the pics, they're great. Even the ones with me looking suuuuuper stoned.....
A quote! I was reminded of this 'cause Kaiti posted it....We (Kaiti, Anna, Tracy, Felix, and I) were hanging out at Mystique Java (where I had the most delicious iced french vanilla chai latte thing, omigod) playing Apples to Apples and Kaiti did the best burn ever. I picked up a new card only to find it was very similar to my other cards and really no good for making the humour. And so begins the quote...
Mary: "Ah!! All my cards are related and useless!"
Kaiti: "Kind of like you and your siblings!"
Mary: "Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh!!!"
I then applauded, because it was really well played and I was really amused. Everyone else missed it and we had to re-tell the story, except I was laughing really hard and had issues.
In other news, Evan has taken to giving me energy drinks during our spare. They have absolutely no effect on me whatsoever. I'm not even being sarcastic. Everyone was terrified (Josh was like "God, no, Evan, what have you DONE?!") but I didn't get anymore hyper than I am usually. Hm.
