So I don't know if all y'all know about the March Madness cage match thing (Fandom Steel Cage Match March Madness Championship), but it is basically a big throwdown between fandoms because we geeky types need something to entertain us while everyone else is getting into the whole March Madness sports thing. Whatever. It starts with you voting for your favourite character within each show (divided into categories, like sci-fi, drama, etc.), and then the winning character from each show goes against another character from the same category and you vote for your favourites there. Finally, you have the finalists from each category, and then the final two. It is pretty much the most stressful thing ever, like choosing between children, especially when you adore as many shows and characters as I do. Sherlock totally made it to the final four, which is impressive considering it only has three episodes. He was creamed by this Troy dude from this show Comunity and now Troy is up against the ELEVENTH DOCTOR FROM DOCTOR WHO AND IS WINNING. NOOOOO! This is the final, people. Whoever wins this wins it all. So, I am asking y'all to trust me about Eleven's awesomosity and to go
here and vote for Eleven. And tell all your friends to, for the sake of geeks everywhere. Because bow ties are cool.
Tell your friends.
In the meantime, Dragon Age II came out on Tuesday and is pretty much the greatest thing ever. Also,
this is exactly why Wil Wheaton is awesome.
UPDATE: So, I just googled Troy to see what all the fuss was about, and he seems a decent fellow. Apparently he's a former-jock now out and proud geek who appears to have an epic bromance thing going for him, so that's nice. BUT DOES HE HAVE A SONIC SCREWDRIVER OR A TARDIS? I DO NOT THINK SO. And if Troy really is a geek, then he would probably vote for the Doctor. In fact, Troy probably wants you to vote for the Doctor. If anyone here really loves Troy, then you'll do what he'd do and not vote for him. You're welcome, Troy.
UPDATE THE SECOND: In light of my recent discoveries, I have made a new campaign poster for Eleven:
