This is Halloween
I hate this so much, it literally makes me physically ill. I can't even believe the extent of how awful this is. I saw this on Kaiti's livejournal, and commented there, but I needed to mention it here too, I think. Twenty fucking witnesses who stood by and did nothing. No, wait, that's not true - some took pictures and cheered the rapists on. I hate this shit more than I can even make clear. It blows my mind. And don't tell me shit like "Well, this sort of thing is expected in towns like that" because that doesn't make it better. In fact, it's worse - what does it say about our world that there are places where brutal gang rape is not shocking, it's expected?
Okay, I'll move on to the rest of my week, 'cause good stuff happened too...
So, have you guys seen the commercials for that new show Eastwick? I haven't seen any episodes yet, but I just found out that DARREN CRISS has a recurring role on it!!!!!!!!! Darren Criss, musical writer for Starkid, singer-song writer extraordinaire, Harry Potter in 'A Very Potter Musical'!!!! Yes, that Darren Criss!! ZOMG!!! I have to start watching it now!! It is so bizarre and yet awesome to think of him on popular TV!!! I am so pumped! Congratulation, Darren Criss! Also, everyone should stay tuned for Starkid's new musical, Me and My Dick.
What else? Our quad won a pumpkin carving contest on Thursday, so we got a ton of chocolate as well as an ice cream cake from DQ. It. Was. Awesome. I also did a skype conference call with Emily, my older sister Jennifer, Emily's older sister Erika, and eventually my Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Ron, and even Andy (Erika's fiance). It was pretty sweet awesome.
I'm in S'toon now. Yesterday, I went and saw Zombieland with Nolan, and it is the best. movie. ever. Pretty much, guys. It is so well done (pretty gross in terms of gore, but not too bad - Repo was more bloody), really well written, very VERY funny, and also had some great dramatic moments and even some badass action. I highly reccommend it.
Also, I got up chapter 15 of 'Lullaby'. By far the hardest chapter to write in terms of comfort level...I'll maybe talk a little more about that experience some other time. It was just so very uncomfortable.
Today is Halloween! Happy Halloween! Also, happy birthday to my dad and Uncle Ron!! They are brothers, but not twins. They were both born on the same day, but two years apart. On Halloween. Creeeepy. I think it's pretty cool. Anyways, tonight I'm off to a drama partay at the U of S, and then Rocky Horror Picture Show. What shall I wear? I have no clue...
In other news: OMIGOD THE LATEST CHAPTER OF NARUTO!!!! I won't say anymore on that topic but WHOA.
