The days seemed to just blend one into the next. Late nights answering to Decker bleeding into a morning in front of the review board with only a nap at her desk in between. Deep down she had the treasonous thought that it was all intentional but the good soldier she'd always been just swallowed those thoughts, throwing herself more deeply into her work. Even if she was trying to resign her commission, she wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of breaking her, one way or the other.
Then the Colonel's assistant had handed her a memo without a word.
Due to your current trial of review in seeking to give up your command early, the unit is putting you on administrative leave pending the outcome. This unit handles cases of a highly sensitive nature which makes you a possible vulnerability to the work we do. Dropping the few things she had remaining into a box, she headed back to her apartment. After a quick shower and change of clothes, she made a call and left a message for Sam before heading to the pub she'd left in the message. If he showed, he showed. Otherwise she was going to consider her life and just where she'd gotten herself in the time since she'd met Face and Smith's Alpha team.
