Ecuador

'Finally recovered from whatever illness i picked up in Ecuador. The whole passing out on the floor part was fun.

Ecuador was more fun though. The people first of all are wonderful. Everyone seems really laid back and stress free, at least by my imagination, even amidst some of the more fantastic traffic situations i think i've seen. We were mainly staying with Pablo's family in Cuenca and Beka's contact in Guayaquil which was really nice, although, sadly, i couldn't understand 90% of what they said. Pablo's grandparents were particularly charming.

Cuenca, Ecuador's 3rd largest city, where we spent most of our time has a strong old-world feel. With old colonial style buildings, and LONG three course dinners, it felt like Italy to me. The mountains and llamas were cool also.

Pictures to follow soon.
