Am I too late to say Happy New Year?
So, apparently LJ has had (and continues to have, for many, I understand!) some technical issues. That's ok. I'm having some technical issues myself, mostly in the form of a bad cold. I currently sound like I've been smoking for about 35 years (meaning I would have started in Kindergarten..."OK, kids, that's it for finger painting! Everyone out to the sandbox! Smoke 'em if you got 'em!" - It WAS the '70's so, totally plausible. :p).
Anyway. Yes. I've made some overall "Goals for the New Year" and have broken those "Goals" (notice I did not call them resolutions, because, to my experience, those things should translate as, "Things I will try, but at which I will fail spectacularly") down into small bites that can be accomplished over time. This will be my best approach, I'm sure of it.
One of my goals for the New Year was to create some kind of art, at least once a week. I've made good on that for this week, even though, technically, it was still only 2012 when this art was created. It was the 31st here, though, so, I'm sure it was 2013 SOMEWHERE when I was painting this??

The full painting....It's something like, 9x9 or 10x10, maybe? And oil on canvas panel.
Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky-tacky...
Must resist urge to lick. Is not cupcake!
