Well, over the weekend, the husband and I did a drive-by of The Dream House. To me, it was every bit as I expected it to be...only slightly less gorgeous in person than in the photos due to the following: A) clever photographers always manage to make things look more beautiful in a photo than in real life and, B) it's winter and all the leaves are off the trees, the grass isn't as brilliantly green as in the photos and, C) it had been raining and everything everywhere was gray. My husband on the other hand did not like it (or the adjoining fabulous neighborhood complete with gorgeous homes, a community pool and tennis courts, which The Dream House has access to). Reasons for not liking it sited by him include, and I quote, "I just don't."

I have a very sneaking suspicion that this might be the beginning of a trend. :-/
My game plan at this point is just to drop the subject with him for now, and regroup and regain my resolve. After the first of the year, I will pick up the battle again. For now, I'm just going to try to enjoy Christmas.
In other news, OMG crazy-pants North Korean Leader Kim Jong Il is dead! While I say good riddance to that crazy old maniac psycho bastard who has willfully done more wrong to his own people than can possibly be imagined, I do worry what will happen there now. I hope this will turn out to be a good thing and not just make things worse. :-/
