Day 57 - EZ Pass Throughways
The weather was perfect for traveling and I admit that using our friends' van was a blessing in that their EZ Pass made the trip easy as it ever was. Traffic was relatively light and it was a quick trip. Bright Eyes was (mostly) well-behaved until the end, when he was just done with being in his car seat and wanted everyone to know this. His older brothers were a delight. The iPads helped, too. Many pissed-off poutry were projected at porcine portcullises that trip, I tell you.
We actually got on the road only about 45 minutes later than planned and were able to link up with advinius's better half at the restaurant near to her work. I dropped off J. to have a few hours of girls night out, while the boys and I continued on to their house, which was still about 45 minutes further south. We did arrive late enough that the boys were in pajamas, but were so ramped-up at seeing their friends after six months that it did not matter. Spaghetti dinner and much running around led to boys who stayed up too late, but what can you do?
Sadly, travel is very exhausting and after a whole day of work, so we turned in a couple hours prior to midnight.
