Almost home
I haven't been feeling too motivated to update recently, but rest assured my trip is going well. At the moment I'm relaxing at my parent's in Newfoundland, having dropped in for a friend's wedding Saturday, which went very well indeed.
Highlights of the rest of my European tour include seeing Spamalot in the West End, York and its railway museum and fortified walls, Edinburgh and its ridiculously beautiful setting and awesome friendly people, and then (distant) family in Wales. While in Wales I also got some spectacular views of the Welsh valleys, courtesy of a nice long bike ride from Merthyr Tydfil to Brecon; shame that it almost completely wiped me out so I couldn't appreciate the jazz festival serving as the ostensible reason for the trip. Maybe going on a hilly 45 mile ride on a bike whose front wheel didn't really roll well wasn't such a smart idea. Unfortunately, my camera has started to go a bit senile so I don't have all that many photos of the ride, but I think I have a few.
Anyway, Tuesday evening I arrive back in Montreal (at 7 pm, for the record), hopefully with my wanderlust sated for a little while. The trip's been fun, but I'm looking forward to getting back to my apartment for a bit.
