39 hours 'til "official start of party."
First guests from out of town arrive: approximately 15 hours.
Left to do: dust air mattresses, clean bathroom, vacuum all carpets, tidy living room a bit; pick up last-minute decorations and food, including one decoration-to-be-permanent that we just haven't picked up yet. New coil of stereo wire to replace wires that went missing and haven't been fixed in a year. (Undoubtedly, we'll find the old coil next week.)
Assemble decorations!
Keep Jennifer resting, as she's recovering from that nasty little head cold.
Cook. Must cook -- I've got a tapanade and a spinach dip to make, pinwheels to prep, and mushrooms to fry.
Also, must not let myself get distracted with Dragon Age. Especially since it's so damned addictive. I HAVE CHARACTERS. Oh, gods, I wasn't this bad on any CRPG yet before and I'm making characters and I could give an entire post to each of the characters...
