Mostly I just wanted to use my one-update-a-month to show off a new icon (courtesy of

Penny Arcade Message Boards). Allez Cuisine!
Amusing little analysis of my four Netflix Friends because I was a little bored while taking a sick day (unfortunately a legitimate one) from work yesterday:
Friends:
Shane (
literaryartist) 1066 movies rated, average rating (out of 5 stars) 3.59
Cassie (
smallpinkdragon) 1019 movies, average 3.36
Erica (
sailalias)266 movies, average 3.23
Eric 245 movies, average 3.58
Total: 2596 movies rated, average 3.44
And me: 1048 movies rated, average rating 3.39
Shane and Eric, despite the vast difference in the number of movies each has rated, appear to either (a) be greater fans of movies in general or (b) are more likely to watch and review movies they expect they'll like.
Erica is willing to experiment more in movie choices, but is not afraid to register disappointment with stab-in-the-dark selections.
Cassie and myself (in no small part because many of our selections were watched together after agreement upon selections) are somewhere between the above. We are willing to go a little off the beaten path and are sometimes thrilled (
Bad Santa), sometimes horribly disappointed (
The Cooler), but primarily stick to films we have reason to believe we will enjoy.
I can't say that Cassie, Shane, or I have seen more movies than Erica or Eric, only that we've wasted more time on Netflix registering our opinions.
