I just got a "membership update" e-mail from the HRC. While I'm not going to solicit memberships on their behalf, I did think the information they included in the e-mail was quite interesting. I had no idea about the New York state court ruling:Last month, the constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage was reintroduced in the Senate.
Two weeks ago, the Christian Coalition, Family Research Council, and Focus on the Family began attacking cartoon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants in educational videos to tell us what's "wrong" with our relationships, our families...our love.

But there's good news, too: nearly 60 percent of Americans believe that GLBT relationships deserve legal protection. And just last week, the New York state court ruled that same-sex couples must be allowed to marry.
