We Sold Our Soul

May 11, 2004 20:57

I was just checking some mail from a couple of mailing lists I'm on (specifically, SOAP::Lite and XML Distributed Applications) and I saw a new message in my inbox. It was from Bill Stu, an old friend. He used to play in the bands Morgan Stu and Jozlin Bones, and he's the Publisher of a zine, Soundcheck.

Anyhoo, he's in another band now: We Sold Our Soul. It's a Black Sabbath tribute band. I've been on their mailing list for a little while now, but I've never actually gotten around to going to any of the shows. I've either been pretty busy, or I've just outright forgotten about them (the shows, that is).

I don't really have much of an excuse to not go now. School is out for now, so I do have more time to do just whatever. I don't even have my age as an excuse in this case, because he'd told me he'd get me in to see the show as a roadie. Very schweet. I wouldn't mind hanging with him again, maybe at another jam session. *sigh* Those were the good days. Me, kryptxkeeper, Bill Stu, Teri Francis, Mike Burgess, and Nikki Stone (Boston Brats).

Anyhoo, here are their two upcoming (scheduled) shows, in case anyone's interested. I'm going to see We Sold Our Soul! Woohoo!
