TRANSFORM!

Tranformers live action movie...action packed eye candy--I loved it! Everybody go see it even if you're not that big on Tranfsormers. I was hoping they would shout "TRANSFORM!" like they do sometimes in the Japanese anime version. Of course that's kind of redundant anyway, huh? Still what a blazing ride. Actually I do hope they have a sequel--so they can have more of the transformer characters, and perhaps focus more on them than on the humans. Cause the anime was mostly about them. I also found myself doing the TV series scene change music in my head during the movie when they did change scenes--kind of geeky!

Just a few notes about what photoshoots I attended at AX:

Dragon Ball Z: Rarely is there one among all the soul reapers and ninjas at a con. For this occasion I wore my 6 year old Vegeta costume and had a good time.

NANA: A smaller gathering but there some great cosplayers that showed up. I was of course Nana O., and kind of late but we had fun. We also crashed the Paradise Kiss gathering, by the same creator as NANA.

Naruto: Was able to catch this one after doing other things. There was reported over 400 cosplayers attended! What a sight to see Naruto and Hinata in a pedal boat in the water at the lagoon.

Evangelion: I could only find 2 other cosplayers plus me as Rei. It was scheduled at 5pm. An hour later more showed up but we were long gone--too bad, but we made the best of it.

DOA Beach Volleyball: I heard a lot about this shoot in the past so since I was at AX and may not go back for a while I wanted to check it out. The result--over 100 photos! I was actualy shy for this and didn't ask for any poses--besides the 6 girls had their own poses and stuff. I kept my distance to be more respectful. Still...my eyes had a small heart attack.

Press only Masquerade photo op.: In the back hall of the arena where the masquerade took place. Each group stopped at our spot and had photos taken. Exciting opportunity for me! I was even used as a test photo, me still wearing my Rei costume.

Pokemon: Another first in my book, and I'm so happy Pokemon still has a lot of fans, so there were several cosplayers and we all had a lot of fun. Even when "Man-Chu" showed up I wasn't too deterred. I may want to do my own Pokemon costume in the future--just have to pick a character.

Trigun: Not a bad shoot despite only Vashes, Wolfwoods and Midvalleys! Hector was disappointed but I enjoyed my first Trigun shoot.

That's it! Photos are going up. I put up photos from the trip back home, and stuff from Monday like Trigun and some Ranma ones. Still plenty more to come. Check cosplayphotos.com for Klint's photos lots of great stuff and he's faster putting them up.

HEAD ON!
